Access control: the gate code is issued before the customer arrives
Handing out keys and codes on site ties you to the facility. Boxi issues the code when the contract activates, opens the lock from the customer portal, and takes access away when somebody stops paying.
How it works
Three steps, zero phone calls.
- 01
You connect the gate and lock controller
Address, login and password per facility, encrypted in the database. Boxi pushes tenant PIN codes to the controller; passwords never reach the logs.
- 02
The code is issued when the contract activates
Once the first instalment is paid, the customer receives the gate code and lock access in the portal. Idempotent: activating twice does not create a second code.
- 03
Arrears close it, payment opens it
The gate, the unit, or both are blocked according to your collections scenario. After payment, access returns automatically. Site lighting comes on when the gate opens — but only after dark.
What exactly is inside
- Smart locks and gate controllers, opened from the portal, with lock sleep mode handled
- A controller for the gate, site lighting and access keypads; tenant PIN codes, hashed passwords, fail-closed by design
- Site lighting after the gate opens, only after dark (civil dusk from the facility's coordinates)
- Access types per unit: padlock, smart lock, key, code
- QR codes with generation and scan tracking
- Blocking on arrears and automatic unblocking
- Access reports: who opened what, and when
